Achieving fast-track refurbishments for the leisure industry since 1990
Jim Sutherland established Fairland Contractors in 1990. Over the past three decades, the company has grown into one of the country’s leading specialists in public house, hotel, shop and leisure refurbishments.
These days you’ll still find Jim, with his partner Louise, at the helm of the business. It’s what makes Fairland Contractors stand out from the crowd… That, and our team of dedicated professionals, most of whom have been working with the company for many years.
You’ll find the company’s head office in Rickmansworth, providing excellent links to London and the South East where many of Fairland Contractor’s projects are based. In any one year, Fairland will complete over 250 projects nationwide, ranging from £10,000 ‘sparkle’ projects to £2 million hotel refurbishments.
Fairland is a partnering contractor with EI group (formally Enterprise Inns) and Mitchells and Butlers. We also work extensively with Novus Leisure and Fullers Brewery. Recent clients have included Brewdog, Holiday Inn, Hotel Chocolat, ZaZa Prime Steakhouses and Oakman Inns. Fairland also carries out fit out refurbishments for smaller independent clients.
Why our Fairland Contractors family business ethos matters to your refurbishment
It’s not just our clients that stick with us. Many of our staff have been with us for years. The consistent level of expertise they provide ensures that we complete projects on time and within budget.
The Fairland Contractors team and our well-established subcontractors can cover all aspects of any building project, from the initial surveys and ground works to finishing trades such as decorators and carpet fitters. They are all used to working in the fast track environment that many of our projects require.
