CONTRACTS MANAGERS
Phil Bourne
Contracts Manager

Phil has been with us for over five years. He is perfectly qualified to be part of the Fairlands team with SSSTS Qualification, City and Guilds Leadership and Management ILM Level 3, NVQ Level 2 Qualification. He also joined us with a building background, his experience speaks for itself, and he has become a much-valued team member.
Phil spends his days as a Contracts Manager, managing costs, ensuring health and safety is top notch and most importantly, keeping our clients, suppliers and contractors happy.
When he’s not onsite or in the office, you might find Phil on the golf course, and you’ll also find him enjoying time with his family and friends.
Jamie Sutherland
Contracts Manager

James joined the family business towards the end of 2019. He brings with him practical experience within the construction trade and a Construction Management Degree BSc (Hons).
James believes the most important thing about his role is to ensure that the sites he is looking after produce a stellar result for his clients. He understands that we trade on our reputation. As the best in the business, happy clients mean we’re doing what we should be.
Jamie thrives on the planning, organisation and relationship building required to ensure the very best results on every job.
Outside of work, Jamie is relishing his role as a new father! He also loves to follow sports and enjoys music, festivals and concerts. He likes to travel and find new places to explore.
Craig Willis
Contracts Manager

Craig joined the Fairland team in the summer of 2019. He brings with him fifteen years of experience in the building trade. Craig is SMSTS qualified and has an NVQ3 in Construction Skills.
Like all our Contracts Managers, Craig spends his days ensuring our clients (and potential clients) are happy and informed. And ensuring that projects run cost-effectively and within the budget. A proactive and dynamic member of the team, Craig loves the challenging (in a good way!) mix of work that each day brings.
When Craig isn’t working, you’ll find him spending family time with his wife and children. If he gets to slip away without being noticed, it’s usually to the golf course or the gym.
Nick Fahey
Contracts Manager

Nick has been part of our Fairland on-site team for many years as a Site Foreman. He’s now joined our office team as a Contracts Manager. His solid background in construction, which spans over two decades, means that he is extremely well-qualified for his new role. He knows exactly how to meet our client’s needs by delivering successful projects on time and within budget while always keeping health and safety as a number one priority. As a client, you’ll find him organised, reliable and at the end of the phone whenever you need him.
Having worked on-site, Nicholas is all about teamwork, which is what he enjoys most about working within the Fairland organisation.
Out of work, Nicholas enjoys spending time with his family and coaching U14 football. He also enjoys a spot of travel whenever he gets the chance!
Scott Harper
Contracts Manager

While Scott refers to himself as the newbie of the office, he’s certainly not new to our team!
Scott has recently taken on a Contracts Manager role after many years as a site manager.
He now takes care of our valued clients from the other side of the fence and is adapting his organisational and relationship skills to suit the new role.
Scott is a photography buff, so when he’s not working, you’ll usually find him behind the camera continuing his search for that perfect Kodak moment.
He’s also in permanent pursuit of a hot weather holiday with his family.
Rob Moran
Contracts Manager

Rob recently became part of the Fairland team as a Contracts Manager, and he’s settled in very nicely!
Having trained as a carpenter, he’s worked widely in renovation, construction, and refurbishment. So, he joins us with vast experience from renovating theatres to building velodromes! He may have laid down his tools, but he still finds his past work experience priceless as a Contracts Manager.
When we asked how he relaxed outside of work, he replied, “When I’m not socialising with friends, watching my beloved Arsenal, or enjoying experimental cooking in the kitchen, you’ll find me sat under a reading lamp with the works of Shakespeare, Yeats or Beckett, a glass of single malt and a hand rolled cigar. I might be listening to jazz or blues and discussing the fundamental meaning of the existence of humankind within the realms of the universe!” We’re not sure how much to believe but he made us laugh!
MECHANICAL & ELECTRICAL
Ian Patton
M & E Manager

Ian joined us in July 2018. He brings with him seventeen years of experience as a Registered Qualifying Supervisor with NIC/EIC. This strong industry background has ensured his stellar success in coordinating a team of Electricians and M&E Engineers.
Ian is in charge of ensuring our works are carried out to the highest of standards and are fully compliant with associated regulations. He’s also the man that heads up the allocation of certification. You’ll most often find Ian on site when he’s at work, and when he’s enjoying time off, you may well find him on the golf course. He also enjoys live music and spending time with his family and friends.
Stefan Bjornson
M and E Supervisor

Stefan joined the Fairland team in the spring of 2022. But he brings with him over two decades of experience in the electrical and building maintenance field. He has been a supervisor for social housing, and previous to that, he was involved in commercial testing and inspection in pubs. He has a wealth of experience in domestic, commercial and industrial installations and testing.
Stefan supervises our electrical staff and subcontractors on site. He also surveys upcoming works and quotes for electrical works, providing certification when completed. In short, he ensures the smooth running of our electrical department!
Since joining Fairland, Stefan has relished building good relationships with co-workers and clients, and we already know he’s a great team player!
Outside of work, Stefan is a keen sportsman; he recently took part in his first Triathlon and is looking forward to more in the future, so enjoys training in the pool and on his bike. He also likes to socialise with friends and play the guitar. He’s currently learning Portuguese for a trip later in the year.
