We may be based in Rickmansworth at Fairland Contractors, but we travel across the U.K. to complete fast-track pub refit services. This year our team has brought a new lease of life to all manner of seaside, city and country pubs. So, in this article, we thought we’d share a few of our favourites. Be sure to visit them when you’re next in the area!
Pub Refit Services – Seaside, City, Country
Oh, We do Love to be Beside the Seaside
The beautiful Royal Pavilion Tavern was known locally as the Pav Tav. It closed permanently in 2019 after 200 years of trading.
Thankfully, Mitchells and Butlers reinvested in this beautiful listed building, which underwent a lavish refurbishment. The pub has now been renamed The Fitz Regent after Maria Fitzherbert, the first wife of the Prince Regent, who lived nearby.
March saw our teams visit Hastings on the South Coast.
The Plough Inn needed our pub refit services.
A lovely traditional pub with real ale and a welcoming fireplace. And a short walk to the seafront.
We were back in the neighbourhood in April. Just around the corner from Hastings you’ll find St. Leonards-On-Sea.
This town and seaside resort is home to The Old England pub, just a few hundred metres from the seaside promenade.
We enjoyed the spring sunshine by the sea and carried out external and internal works.
Sipping in the City
January saw us off to a flying start (pun intended) at the PIlot in Chiswick.
A Fuller’s pub, The Pilot, is a small but perfectly formed pub, serving delicious food and ale in a friendly, relaxed environment.
Spring in the city is a fabulous time of year, especially when working on a brand-new pub.
The Saint in Bow Lane in the middle of the city of London was a fabulous project. With bright geometric sprints, plenty of greenery and retro furniture it looks stunning!
Lee Green in South East London straddles the borders of Lewisham and Greenwich.
It’s also home to Te Lord Northwood, a stylish Victorian pub serving first-class beers and tasty homemade food.
We enjoyed the spring sunshine in Hampshire.
The Leather Bottle is a classic old village inn with a beautiful old tiled roof sheltering mellow Hampshire brick.
We refurbished this pub in four weeks, including a fabulous outside space ready for summer trading!
Nothing says countryside charm like The Cotswolds, and our teams carried out pub refit services on several pubs in this wonderful part of the country through 2022.
We visited Burford, Bibury and Rodborough, to name just a few of the pretty villages and towns.
The Tichborne Arms in Alresford has already made a great name for itself down near Winchester. Joel and Susie are breathing new life into this beautiful country pub which we refurbished and extended during the summer of 2022.
