Drinking establishments have long been associated with the arts. Many of Shakespeare’s plays feature drinking references. You can’t get away from the fact that the pub is part of our British heritage and everyday life. So, it’s not surprising that scenes at the boozer feature in many TV programs and films! From Eastender’s, Queen Vic to Harry Potter’s, Hog’s Head, there are many set-built bars and pubs. But, there are also lots of pubs that have featured in films that you can actually raise a glass in yourself. One of which was a recent refurbishment we undertook for Three Cheers Pubs, part of the Enterprise Inns Group.
Not yet released, The Gentlemen, Guy Ritchie’s latest film, is due to hit the big screens in early 2020. Thankfully a pub refurbishment doesn’t take quite as long as editing a movie. We took about six weeks to refurbish The Princess Victoria in Shepherd’s Bush. That included a full refurbishment of the former ballroom.
How to make your pub a blockbuster with refurbishment:
Of course, as a landlord, the main audience you need to impress is your customers. That’s where we can help.
Not just for major chains, we can also help smaller independent clients with fit-out refurbishments and ‘sparkle’ projects.
We have the flexibility and experience to undertake a variety of work from minor repairs and maintenance to major refurbishments that take place over several months. We work on specialist projects, construction works, and new-builds. Our services cover all areas of construction, from initial groundworks to installing finishing bric-a-brac.
There’s always one thing you can count on, no matter what size your business, at Fairland we give all our customers the attention they deserve. Your dedicated Contract Manager will ensure your job is completed on time and within budget.
Finally, just in case you can’t wait until January for your first peek of The Gentlemen, here’s the trailer! (Includes drug references and violence).
