No, we haven’t branched out into forestry works, but we are doing our bit for the environment. As concerns over climate change continue to grow, we, like all businesses, recognise the importance of taking action to reduce our environmental impact.
So, we’ve recently joined the Tree App tree planting partnership to mitigate the carbon footprint of our everyday work.
For every refurbishment project completed, we’ll plant a tree, helping to sequester carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and contribute to reforestation efforts.

The young man is planting tree in the garden to preserve environment concept, nature, world, ecology and reduce air pollution.
We recognise that our fast-track refurbishment projects can have positive and negative environmental impacts, depending on several factors.
Positive Impacts:
Resource conservation:
Our refurbishment projects often incorporate sustainable building materials, recycled materials, and water-efficient fixtures, which can help to conserve our planet’s precious resources. We’ll try to use reclaimed and salvaged materials wherever possible, particularly on our listed building projects.
Energy efficiency improvements:
Refurbishing a building will often include heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, insulation, and lighting upgrades. All of these upgrades can improve the building’s efficiency and sustainability.
Extended building lifespan:
There’s nothing we love more than breathing new life into an old building. Extending its life and knowing that it will once again become a space for people to enjoy means we have done a good job well. By refurbishing older buildings, we reduce the need to construct new buildings and save resources.
Negative impacts:
It would be remiss of us to focus only on the positive impacts of building refurbishment. It’s no secret that refurbishment projects can generate significant waste, particularly if demolition is required. And, of course, our projects always require the transportation of materials and equipment, which can contribute to greenhouse gas emissions.
But, as part of our corporate and social responsibility, we recognise these impacts and have committed to doing everything we can to mitigate them.
Trees are vital for the health of our planet. So, from now on, we’ll be tree planting via the Tree App partnership for every refurbishment project we complete.
